Martin Schultz, the HClimRep coordinator, was invited to present the project at the Helmholtz AI conference in Düsseldorf (see https://haicon24.de). Prior to the conference, he and Ilaria Luise, who contributes to the project as an external member, contributed to the HAICON prologue day (see https://events.hifis.net/event/1403/page/288-satellite-events) in the session on “Foundation Models for Topological Data – Challenges and Opportunities”.
Here is a debriefing of the conference: „A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in and presented at the “Helmholtz AI Conference: AI for Science.” Your contributions were crucial in showcasing AI’s transformative impact across various fields, including disaster prediction, cancer screening, weather forecasting, and plasma physics.
With over 330 attendees, 30+ themed sessions, and inspiring keynote talks from Kyle Cranmer and Smita Krishnaswamy, the conference was a dynamic platform for innovation and collaboration. We also extend our gratitude to our industry partners and Helmholtz Incubator collaborators for their invaluable support.“
